Sell Your Plastic Surgery Practice in California

Aesthetic platforms are buying. Surgeon successors are buying in. The practice that sells best is the one positioned before it's shopped.

Two Very Different Sale Paths

Path one: the aesthetic platform. MedSpa and aesthetic consolidators — now active across California — buy practices with strong non-surgical engines, multi-provider teams, and transferable pipelines. They pay platform multiples on post-reset EBITDA, usually with rollover equity and multi-year surgeon commitments.

Path two: the surgeon successor. A fellowship-trained surgeon buys your accredited OR, your team, your pipeline, and a structured introduction to your patient base — often SBA-financed against our certified valuation, usually with a 1–2 year overlap that converts your personal goodwill into theirs.

The right path depends on your mix, your team, and your willingness to stay. We price both before choosing either.

Positioning Work That Pays

  • Transferability evidence. Associate and injector production, practice-channel consult flow, rebooking data — assembled into a data room that answers the brand question before buyers weaponize it.
  • Pipeline documentation. Marketing cost per surgical case, conversion rates, lead-source mix. Aesthetic buyers underwrite the machine, not the trophy months.
  • Entity hygiene. An aesthetic practice is usually a bundle of businesses — the surgical practice, med spa, skincare retail, surgical suite, sometimes the building — often in separate companies that share accounts and staff. Before any buyer sees it, we sort out which pieces are for sale and get the books in order, so you're offering one clean, well-defined business.
  • Transition design. Your post-sale clinical role — scope, schedule, duration, compensation — is the single biggest price lever in aesthetic deals. We negotiate it as deliberately as the multiple.

Confidentiality in a Reputation Business

Nowhere does a leaked sale rumor cost more than in aesthetics, where patients book months ahead on confidence. Blind profiles, NDAs before identity, staged disclosure, confidential marketing — always.

From valuation to close — our three-step process

  1. 1

    Confidential Consultation

A private, no-obligation conversation about your goals, your timeline, and what a successful exit looks like. We share an informed perspective on the current market for practices like yours, and you decide whether to move forward.

  2. 2

    Valuation & Positioning

We perform a valuation of your practice, normalizing earnings and weighing real transaction data, to arrive at an asking price that reflects its fair market value. We then position the practice for the buyer types that fit your goals.

  3. 3

    Confidential Marketing & Sale

We market the practice confidentially, under NDA, through our buyer network and targeted outreach to physician groups, hospital systems, and private equity platforms. We negotiate competing offers and structure the sale to protect your net proceeds.

Frequently asked questions

They're negotiating. Some dependence is real and priced; much of it is answerable with transferability evidence and transition structure. Our valuation quantifies the genuine dependence so you concede only what's true.

Yes — partial sales of the non-surgical engine to aesthetic groups are increasingly common. We help you value the carve-out and weigh the trade-offs so you can decide with a clear picture.

Typically 12–24 months of introductions, co-consulting, and staged handoff — compensated, defined, and shrinking on a schedule. Long enough to transfer trust; bounded enough to actually end.
